"The Rain, my Life – Esmond Ng 30/08/04 copyright"

Here's another one for my "Rain" this time. "Inspired" by our conversation the other night. Love always, "Big Tree".

"The Rain, my Life – Esmond Ng 30/08/04 ©"
================================

Thunder roars far not the light’d sky
Yet chokes of the heart ears hear no cry
Which be louder, Man might debate
Never then why Love not had it’s way

Feelings harden’d, Medusa no further harm
Gods of fury did try pours of pain
Why only grey platters from moody clouds
Felt the burns which for thee long’d

In all nature life that springs
You be my Rain, which from stems within
The very life which ows’t from thee without
Returns to ground from which it spring’d

Though these words be of worldly flirts
It vows not insincere nor hurt
All that I say of thee be that Rain
This very Tree thirsts

The Comex Experience

Parking was atrocious! Had to spend 40 minutes to get into a lot! Not to mention the ¼ tank petrol whilst turning in circles. Expensive petrol nowadays? Just look at the number of carparks displaying the fearful red “FULL”. Hadn’t really planned on going to the Comex but I was in the vicinity so what the heck? The last time I went to one was like 3 years ago. (2 while being overseas) Free admission was a draw but too good a one I’d say. The exhibition hall was packed like sardines. Not that I ever liked the little quitters. I hate crowds! That’s one thing you have to know. Cos you’ll hardly be able to convince me into one. Improving economy? The number of printers I saw being carried out speaks for itself. Many booths, many products but way too many people. Where are the “anti breast-feeding” (u gotta be a Singaporean to know this) guards when u need them essentially. Don’t they have a quota on the amount of traffic into these halls? What about being socially responsible and eco-friendly? Don’t these big IT companies ever train their sales staff not to give out leaflets unless requested? Number one, it’s so irritating being stuffed with papers everywhere u walk around. I’m there to look at the products not to be accosted with pamphlets in the face! Number two, these unsolicited papers end up all over the damn floor and finally into the trash. So how many trees do u guys wanna kill? Am I too critical? Well, “If u don’t know me by now……” (simply red paid for this advert) By the freaking way, what was Cold Storage doing inside an IT fair??!! The most disappointing factor was the missing “Show-gals”! Where were the tightly dressed, skimpy clothed to lust after? Where are they when u need to soothe your cantankerous mood after facing so many adversaries? Do they only come on the weekends? If you are the type who doesn’t mind paying more for petrol and being squeezed around in sweat to save that $10-20, then it’s the fair for you! In summation, change a bigger hall (u guys have the money!), save the tress and most portentously, bring in the “Show-gals”!

"June - Esmond Ng, 26/08/04 ©"

Wrote the following in my ex-darling's friendster testimonial. Not too sure if she'll approve it. (Btw, her name is June)

Here's something written especially for you, dear friend. Wishing you, your darling and all your endeavours be Godly blessed. Love always.

"June - Esmond Ng 26/08/04 copyright"
==================================

She's a darling. She really is.
No second thoughts, no doubts about it.
Red be the colour of bloom'd rose petals,
Not close to the red of her lips.

If fair be the colour of beauty skin,
So fairer are thou's character from which beauty brims.
Never less, only more be more;
This eternal goddess, nymph to not only the Greeks.

Lovely never knew another name.
June from winter springs.
May is just the preceeding,
From where this fair maiden begins.

Sure, the cycles will always be unchang'd,
The days, the nights, tides which fade then rise.
As death comes with winter brings,
Hastened be our meetings that winter chase'd.

But no, the sun will never be dimm'd.
Much less a cloud with linnings untrimm'd,
Ever be near to tarnish her golden beam.
No, the cold winds will never win.

Amanda! Where are you?

Lost In Transition
Coffee Shop Ramblings

Hey, haven't heard from u in a veri long time. Are u in HK? Small world isn't it. How did u find me in blogspot haha. If u're in Sg, we have to meet for coffee sometime k?

For people who are interested, interview went fine today. Was inside for 45 mins! Hope the company calls mi again soon. Then later, got conned to go for an MLM talk! Shits.

Your Arrows

Told to be by Eunice. (Thank you!)

Imagine this:

I give u 10 arrows, a bow and an empty field. Shoot these arrows anywhere u like onto the field. Take a minute to reflect. Read on only after u have decided where each ofyour arrows have landed. Where have all your arrows landed? Are they all over the place?

Now the reality. Each arrow represents 5 years of your life. If your arrows are all over the field, you will find your life a mess at the end. Unless you have targets to aim at, your life will always be a mess. Put goals in your life. That's the only way to hit your targets!

Sweet Cherry's life goes on & on & on....

Sweet Cherry's life goes on & on & on....

Dedicated to Evelynn (be careful, I know more than one!) for her continuous patronizing of my blog. Just look at the shout-box. Haha. She even visited me on friendster! Add me? Keke. Well, went to watch the “Twin Effects” (posted below) and it was a real disappointment. Followed by getting drenched in the rain cos I parked too damn far away. To make things worst, the umbrella was in the car! Have an interview bright and early tomorrow morning. Hope things go well. Will be meeting Celine and her bf, Ted tomorrow evening for dinner followed by some “business” discussions. Last but not least, my room is half-packed. What does that mean? It means my room is really half-messy! Haha. Cheers and have a good one tomorrow!

Twin Effects 2

As the title of the show suggests, it's a twin and unfortunately the uglier twin. Nothing spectualar about the show that realli deserves praise. Blame it on Matrix and other like shows but the "effects" are realli beginning to bore viewers. Where have all the good movies with real plots gone to? Jackie's appearence was actually really redundant. One has to wonder if his inclusion into the credits list is merely a plot to boost sales and his son's career. Just like premature ejaculation is an anti-climax, the show's abrupt ending did not provide much satisfaction to it's viewers; much less leave them wanting more. Comical value and pretty faces are all the show has to fall back on. My rating? 1/5.

Esmond’s Art of War

Number one, what happened to my shoutbox??

Called Dell up this arvo regarding my sis’s laptop. It’s been a week since I’ve sent it in but still no reply. Empathy for the gal who picked up my call and tried to simmer my angst. Adel, interestingly pronounced “A-da”, not “uh-dell”.

Adel: “Sorrie, I can’t locate my technician. I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.”
Esmond: “That’s alright, call me later then.” (That’s your problem, not mine)

An hour later,

Adel: “I’m sorrie, my technician was in a meeting. We need to source for the motherboard to test out your laptop.”
Esmond: “Better hurry up, I need to send it back to UK soon.” (Like real, how often do technicians go for meetings!)

Esmond’s Art of War: “Never fake your enemy when they are much better at it than yourself!”

Went for pool at Pool Factor, Marina South. Pool Factor team lost their New Paper after 5 competition today. Heard Su Yong Kang was performing at Canto. So? Caught a slight cold but met this cute gal. Too bad she’s attached, haha. Nightz all.

Heavenly Sins

Dearest Celine,

Didn’t know u read my blog everyday, haha. So here’s my entry for today. Sorrie no horny dream last night but had an amorous one! Dreamt of my “Dream Gal”. How do I manage to do it every other day, so sinful??!! Somehow we were seated in the “lift”, whispering sweet nothings and gazing ever so in love into each other’s eyes. The touch of her skin, the smell of her hair, the weight of her on my lap all so vividly engraved in my mind even though Eady’s phone call woke me up. Shit! We were supposed to go for some interview together. Both of us woke up too late today. Maybe tomorrow? For those that don’t know, Eady’s my childhood friend, neighbour, “talk-cock-sing-song” buddy, snooker playmate and vice promoter! And Celine’s my poly cum rollerblading mate. (Btw, I had an ex by the name of Celiine too, different one.) Explored and set up the Lauchcast radio tuner on my Yahoo! Messenger. Now it auto starts up and tunes in to the “love” station when my laptop boots up. Cool! Music straight-away on startup. Think I’m going to start on my resolution in the 2nd previous posting; do something bout’ this junkyard of mine.

Love,
Esmond.

Cafe Cartel

Met my friend of my years, Evelyn at Plaza Singapura's Cafe Cartel. Had a great chat. After all it's been so long. Last I'd seen of her was when she was still wif SIA. Met her in Brisbane on one of her flights. That was like a year ago? Wanted to catch the "Twin Effects" but the show was too late n she has to work tomorrow so "No-Go". Another day perhaps. Came back home, did abit of a workout. Going for a shower after this and I'd probably be heading to bed. Signing off, just Me.

I'm a Sinner!

OMG! I had a damn horny dream last night! Nope, sorrie guys no further elaborations on that. Dun worrie; my bed is not wet. Worst still, it was one of my gal friends! What was I thinking???!!! Knn. Anywayz got to get some things done this week.

1. Pack my freaking messy room
2. Create space at home for my weight bench
3. Send out more resumes
4. Send my car for servicing (Supposed to do tt last wk)

Man...Another mahjong session

With the same people again. Yes......tis time not so late. Lost all the way. Game onli once. Sigh. Goodnite people.

Pool Night

Went for an impromptu club meeting at RevZone, Serangoon Stadium. Long black was great. But parking was difficult. After that, went for some prata followed by pool at Pool Fusion 2. Nice place, good music. One of my friends is damn cute when she plays pool. Can’t describe but just cute; the posture and antics.

The animals on my bed. Cute? Posted by Hello

Anywayz was taking some fotos of the animals on my bed. Cute also, like my friend eh? Check out my hand-writing below also, at the “Shall I Compare Thee” entry. A wee bit messy but nice?

Well Done Jia Wei!

No medal but well done. Proud of you for getting so far; an achievement on it’s own already. Thanks for keeping the Singapore dream alive! Let’s just hope the “uh-uh” and “zu-za-za” gal doesn’t get the gold.

The “Nine Logs” of Changi

Was watching this show that was introducing various quirks in Singapore. One that caught my attention was the “Nine Logs” of Changi. When a developer knocked down a century-old tree to make way for new “money trees”or rather, condominiums; it surprisingly caused quite an uproar with residents and nature lovers here. Knowing Singaporeans, I was impressed to find out that there are people who actually care. The huge plant was cut into 9 logs and disposed of. A group of artists wrote in to bid for the logs, subsequently turning them into 9 logs of art. They craved the logs based on various themes giving the tree a new “life”. These logs were then “adopted” by the Singapore Zoo which displays and looks after them now. 3 Hips & Hoorays for them!

Hearty Dinner

Splendid! Had tomato prawns, black peppered beef, home-made "bah kut teh" and steamed eggs while watching my favourite weekend serial "Yi Tian Tu Long Ji"! An astonishingly palatable combination. Simply marvellous!

Huge Table Tennis Upset! Jiawei out of Finals

It was an anxious and very tight match today. Women’s ping pong semi-finals between Li Jia Wei of Singapore and Kim of North Korea. Kim managed to edge out in the last of the full 7-framed match by 1 matchpoint to cause a major upset. Jia Wei looked so in line of getting through to the finals when she was leading 3-1 frames after the fourth. However Kim astonishingly picked up the next consecutive 3 frames to secure a place in the finals! I would attribute that to Kim's fast pace in the beginning of each frame and more particularly, her irritating weird noise antics just before her opponent’s serve.

Li Jia Wei (SIN) - Kim Hyang Mi (PRK)
Game1: 11- 8
Game2: 6- 11
Game3: 11- 0
Game4: 11- 8
Game5: 8- 11
Game6: 6- 11
Game7: 9- 11

Having glued to the television for the entire match, I felt an immense feeling of disappointment; a dark, deep abysmal. Gold has eluded us once again. "Well, it wasn’t your fault Jiawei. You just had a bad run that’s all. Don’t give up and bag that bronze at least, ok?" Now that the top two medals are forlorn, we can always brag: “It’s the participation and spirit of competition that matters most!”

Mahjong fever

Just finish a whole nitez of Yahoo! mahjong wif 3 friends. (Lushie, Abso and the DiCrow) Damn....can go for breakfast already. Anyone else game? Gotta catch a few winks now. The weekends are here. Wouldn't want to spend the whole of Sat in bed ; P . I played for so long onli managed to "game" twice. But both times was big big with 1000+ win in ea. Good? Hmmz...good points but not a good win ratio. Better sign off b4 crap comes out in writing. Nighty nitez.

Slow start to weekend

Woke up pretty late today. The rain's making everything really gloomy. But it sure was a really good sleep. Haha cool weather plus air-conditioning. Perfect combination. Not sure if i'll have anything on tonight. Sigh. Another boring weekend coming up perhaps? Well it's one of these lazy weekends that really gets me working on this blog. Keke. No one's been reading so far i think. Wonder how i get someone to notice me. No point writing if no one's going read rite? Just a little about what i'm doing at the moment. Listening to ABC News Online wif my realplayer. Got into tis habit whilst in Australia during my 2 year study stint. Was in brisbane doing my bachelor's. Shall I Compare Thee (Sonnet XVIII)

My hand-writing. Messy or brillant? Posted by Hello

by William Shakespeare

Shall I compare thee to a Summer's day?
Thou are more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And Summer's lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd:
But thy eternal Summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st;
Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st:
So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

See the miracles

SEE THE MIRACLES
The man whispered. "God, speak to me."
And a bird sang.
But the man did not hear.
So the man yelled, "God, speak to me."
And the thunder rolled across the sky.
But the man did not listen.
The man looked around and said, "God, let me see you."
And a star shined brightly.
But the man did not see.
And, the man shouted, "God show me a miracle."
And a life was born.
But the man did not notice.
So the man cried out in despair, "Touch me God, and let me know you are here."
Then, God reached down and touched the man. But the man brushed the butterfly away and walked on.
I found this to be a great reminder that God is always around us in the little and simple things that we take for granted.

So little time, so many things

Well, i'm feeling much better today. Yeah! So i can finally go out.

Well the Dell repairman came to pick up my sis's laptop. Whilst on the laptop topic, Dell really has bad svc esp in the UK. My sis called the people up and they refused to come down unless she could provide exact details of what was wrong with her laptop. So she went: "If i knew what was freaking wrong, i wouldn't call u guys up!" As a result, she sent the laptop back to Sg for servicing instead. It's slightly better here. I gave them a call and they came the very next day. Cool.

Then have a lunch date later followed by a coffee session. So long since i last chilled out. (I was sick the whold week remember?) So sorrie guys, i missed the photoshoot last weekend (SMC).

Then i have to send my car in for servicing, maybe tomorrow. Today's pack already. And can u believe my ex msg mi last nite?! Out of nowhere after ignoring mi for ages! Haiz, girls. : (

Damn the burning incense thingy. Just waxed the car last wkend and now, covered with ashes!!!! TMD. ;p

Have to realli concentrate on looking for a job now. Running low on cash! Haha, lazy as usual. What to do? Rob a bank?

I wish I wake up every day embracing my sweet caress, cuddling in her lucious locks and skin so fresh. Opening my eyes I long to see, what in your eyes you mean to me. How fine each morning would be then when you next to me.

I would be the happiest man, to see you grow, mature and old along me. Cook your breakfast make you coffee or maybe tea. Spend now, tomorrow and forever in harmony. Oh how wonderful life would be!

You would be my jewel, gem and apple eye. My love, goddess, nymph, so divine. In your warm embrace I race to find, so hopefully, thankfully God bid me to be your valentine.

You to me be everything, I to you be the world you'll find. Never a story, a fairytale so perfect in rhyme. Should thou ever think, hesitate or contemplate if I be your true love find, run to me and we'll see, we'll decide.

We in synch, ever synchronised, be the envy of those who vie. Together we could be, in love ever truthfully; the romeo, the juliet of this century. Only you can make me cry and make me laugh at the very same time.

We would be most heart-felt by those who past; to have lived, not regretted to have walked this path. Be it sickness, strive or strain, we cross hearts and together bear this pain. Only you could ever make me complete and tear my existence should you please. So please, if it be me, treat me ever, ever so gently.

Drop mi a msg man!

How in the world will anyone happen to surf into this page??!! Drop mi a shout out k? Man....as u can probably tell, i'm so new to this bloggy thingy.
