==========================================

I believe in Love, true.
I believe in Valentines, everyday.
I believe in Fairytales and “Happily Ever Afters”.
I believe in finding you, someday.

I believe in “Made in Heaven”.
I believe in “Meant to be”.
I believe in Miracles of Fate.
I believe in someday you and me.

I believe in me giving everything.
I believe in you to me will reciprocate.
I believe in both fully giving and taking.
I believe in this, the Love of my Life does await.

I believe in someone believing the same things.
I believe in under this sky blanket we stay.
I believe in you be thinking of what I say.
I believe in true Love; really, someday.

Someone quoted: "Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they will love you in return! Don't expect love in return, just wait for it to grow in his / her heart, but if it does not, be contented that it grew in yours..."

Obligation is not love...

Hi there, thank you for your interest in my post. :)

I fully understand what you are saying. That's exactly the reason why i am so enchanted in my own fairytale. And part of it entails both the guy and girl putting each other as their entire worlds. This rarely occurs in real life, but it would be in my little magical fantasy you see?

By reciprocate, i mean to express the unconditional interchange of love, emotions and attachment to each other; not the one-way come the other way turn-around response as perceived.

If by forgotten childhood aspirations did you "fall" into my poem, you should be able to see my angle of expression. I guess then that "obligation" can be eaily obliterated in this child-like alternate world.

However in reality, what u quoted is indeed in play. After numerous heartaches and disappointments, it's not difficult to admit that i grow weary of Love too. Perhaps precisely, my many nostalgic re-runs of Love that likens to old movies. Precisely so, reasons to call it "I believe" (still).

Love's fool,

Esmond Ng.

Hi Feliza,

Thanks for visiting. Hope u'll drop by often although i don't update every other day. Keke.

I guess blogging for most people means writing what happens in their daily lives. For me, i tend to use more subtle ways of expressing important things in my life; in this case, poems. What i write is really close to my heart. Maybe some people cannot relate to them, but i guess it's more critical that i know exactly what i wish to pen down right?
